Mario Kart: California Fire Mode
Gamify California fires, transforming wildfire zones into interactive racetracks. Instead of racing for first place, players race against time, teaming up to rescue animals, deliver aid, and fight spreading fires.
Problem
California faces wildfires every year. Yet each season, there aren’t enough firefighters, funding, or public engagement to stay ahead of them. It’s something that’s never talked about unless it’s happening.
Mario, Luigi, and Peach are dropped into a new environment: California, but with a smoldering twist.
In this edition, Mario the firefighter is joined by Luigi the drone controller and Peach the animal evacuation lead. The trio races new tracks across the smoldering state to put out fires, save animals, and work together along the way.
Characters
Mario leads as a firefighter, Luigi operates aerial drones, and Peach manages evacuations. Players also rescue eight animals native to California, collecting them during missions to unlock them as new playable characters with unique abilities.
